Abstract

On the basis of the performed scientific attribution the works of the famous Ukraininan engraver of 18 century Averky Cosachkovsky are analyzed, which are preserved in the collection of the copper engraved boards of the V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The author retails the subjects of the works and studies the specificities of their artistic implementation, strives to bring closer the depicted religious subjects to the real life contemporary to him. The stylistical changes, techniques of engraving, the character of the space compositional structure peculiar to A. Kosachkovsky as the typical representative of the Ukrainian barocco art are determined.
