The article deals with the fundamental changes in the development and functioning of the Ukrainian printed broadsheet caused by certain social-cultural circumstances in the period from the 2nd half of the 1980s up to the beginning of the 1990s of the 20th century. The author analyzes the subject range of the broadsheet pictorial art and its artistic-stylistical characteristics, reveals the factors that predetermined the disappearance of the popular printed broadsheet and caused the spreading of the conceptual auteur broadsheet, that made a complete shift to the domain of graphic design.
