The purpose of the study. To review the manuscript materials related to the biographical information and creative activity of the Ukrainian-Polish artist Lev Gets (1896-1971), which are kept in the library of the Order of Saint Basil the Great in Rome. The research methodology is based on the historical and cultural approach, which allows the use of chronological and systematic methods that not only significantly complement the artist's biography, but also exhaustively present the artist's creative heritage. The scientific novelty lies in the introduction of little-known unpublished documents, which significantly complement the information about the life and work of the famous artist, into scientific circulation. For the first time, the manuscript heritage of Lev Gets, stored in Italy, was reviewed. Conclusions. The presented materials of the archive of the library of the Order of Saint Basil the Great in Rome, found and processed by the author, are practically unknown. Therefore, their first publication and research will not only significantly supplement the information about the life and work of Lev Gets, but also increase the modern history of fine arts, and the voluminous material on the course of artistic life in Eastern Galicia in the first half of the 20th century and UkrainianPolish cultural and artistic relations of the 1944-1970s will serve for further historical and art historical research.
