Scientific novelty. For the first time, on the basis of a comprehensive description of sheet music manuscripts of the personal archive of Lev Revutskyi, the artist’s manuscript heritage was analyzed, in particular, the history of the origin and creation of sheet music manuscripts, which represent the main directions of his creative activity, was highlighted. Conclusions. A comprehensive study of the archive of the outstanding Ukrainian composer Lev Revutskyi from the fonds of the Institute of Manuscript of the V.I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine allowed to come to the conclusion that this documentary complex is a powerful source base both for studying the work of Lev Revutskyi, and for deepening knowledge of the musical culture of Ukraine in general. The archive presents various genre and style layers of the artist’s work: an array of autographs, handwritten lists, drafts, various editions of works, etc. A number of archival materials of Lev Revutskyi has not yet been published and, accordingly, has not been involved in scientific circulation. A promising task for musicologists is the reconstruction of the unfinished works of the outstanding Ukrainian composer, who created a new direction in the music of the 20th century.
