Abstract

In the given article a reconstruction of the bibliographic heritage of M. P. Ballin is attempted. The author defines the principal bibliographical sources that provide information on his scientific career and his participation in the library, publishing, book-selling and educational activities in Ukraine in the 2nd half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century.
