Abstract

In the article the basic methods of strengthening of the weakened paper base are set forth. The author speaks of using various seizing compositions, both conventional and new, for conservational means, of the demands of the conservational science as to the harmlesness towards the document of the substances and materials applied for restoration. Information is given on the materials of peculiar composition and aim that extend the possibilities of restoration and preservation of rare documents.
