Розвиток бібліотечної справи та бібліотекознавства у Національній (Всенародній) бібліотеці України (1918–1933)

Abstract

The initial period of the foundation of the National (All-National) library of Ukraine, the activities of the Temporary panel for foundation of the the National Library of the Ukrainian state, the theoretical side of the principal idea and the structure of the Library are analyzed in the article. The author tries to define the contribution of the Ukrainian library workers to development of library science and library practices, namely, to the advancement of techniques of acquisition to the national library holdings, the improvement of the reference apparatus and the specification of the principles of the arrangement and use of the holdings.
